Men’s Discipleship & Leadership
In a world of confusion about masculinity, where strength is often distorted and leadership misunderstood, we return to the true model—Jesus Christ. He is the Man above all men: humble, courageous, sacrificial, and unwavering in truth. Godly masculinity is not forged by culture or trends, but by being conformed to Christ and walking in His steps. Scripture commands, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13). At The Shepherd’s Way, we seek to equip men to lead their homes, churches, and communities with wisdom, integrity, and strength under God. These seminars aim to restore vision, rekindle responsibility, and raise up men who reflect the heart and holiness of their Savior.
“The world offers countless images of masculinity, but only one is worthy of imitation. Jesus Christ is the pattern. He is strength with gentleness, truth without compromise, and love that leads with courage. True men follow Him.”
A five-session men’s retreat based on 1 Corinthians 16:13–14. Calling men to be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act with courage, be strong, and lead with love.

Testimonial:
“The church in America is faced with a dire challenge: the lack of young pastors. Or right or wrong, the current generation of men shepherding the flock seemed to have missed one critical component of their ministry: raising up the next generation of men to replace them. By the pure grace of God, I (a relatively young man) met Rick about 6 years ago, and my life has not been the same since. This is a man who cares deeply for others and seeks to see Christ formed in them as much as grace is given to such an end. Paul said of Timothy, “I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare.” (Phil 2:20) I can honestly say that no one has been more concerned for my spiritual welfare than Rick Bawcom. Through one-on-one times of discipleship, he showed me the beauties of Christ, the wickedness of my sloth, and the joy of fatherhood in particular. I will never forget one of the most simple and transformative conversations I had with him, where he kindly but firmly admonished me in my fatherly duties, particularly in the forgotten discipline of family worship. In an age of passing acquaintances, Rick is a true friend and brother in Christ. In a time of shallow relationships, Rick is a man who is willing to say the hard things in a timely manner. I am so grateful to the Lord for his kindness in bringing this man into my life, and I trust that the fruit of his ministry will outlive both of us in my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to the Glory of God!
